I am interested in your feedback for another FM Conference and I am asking for your input on timing, topics and other suggestions. I am looking at holding this conference in Kalamazoo, Michigan as I can tap into my network locally for speakers and sponsorship.
My initial thoughts are to focus on our mental and physical well being. I know that weight gain, depression, anxiety and high blood pressure are just a few of the conditions that we deal with on a daily basis as a result of having Fibrosing Mediastinitis. I'd like to learn and explore ways to help us keep these all under control. I would also like to incorporate more time to get to know one another and put some faces with the names!
This conference will also be a of the creation of the FM Foundation driven by Gina Starks. Gina has been putting in a lot of hard work the last few months and the foundation is set to be incorporated sometime this spring. This conference will be a great way to kick off the foundation and we are thinking about hosting a walk/run to raise money for research.
